Myanmar goldsmiths say new tax has slashed orders | Bangkok Post: news

Goldsmith Ko Naung Naung, of Chan Mya Tharsi township, Mandalay Region, said the downward trend was worrying. Another goldsmith, Ko Nay Zaw Myo, said shops previouly placed order after order, according to a report in The Myanmar Times. Orders have dropped because sales have dropped because of the tax,” Ko Kachin, a pieceworker, said.
